International Exchange Summer Japanese Language Course

The Summer Japanese Language Course is designed for students from Tenri University's partner universities and institutions worldwide. It offers small-group classes customized to various Japanese language proficiency levels, as well as a diverse range of extracurricular activities, including cultural experiences and off-campus learning opportunities.
Information about the 2026 Course
1. General Information
- Duration: 14 days, from Monday, July 7th to Sunday, July 20th
(Check-in: July 6th, Check-out: July 21st) - Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in universities with exchange agreements with Tenri University [Japanese language proficiency is not required]
- Number of Participants: 80 people [No further applications will be accepted]
- Requirements: Respecting diverse cultures and the rules set by the program
- Participation Fee: ¥150,000 [Participants from our partner universities] / ¥170,000 [Participants from non-partner
universities] - Accommodation: Japanese-style rooms for 3 to 4 people [The number of people per room may vary]
2. Program Contents
- 30 hours of Japanese language classes taught by experienced lecturers
- Tenri University students’ cultural and sports club activities (optional)
- Japanese tea ceremony and wearing a Japanese kimono
- Field trips to places of historic significance including Tenri, Asuka and Kyoto
- A day tour to Universal Studios Japan or Nagashima Resort

3. Application Procedure
The application period for the 2026 course is from February 1 to March 31, 2026 (Japan Time).
