    Learning Key Points

    Cultivating leaders who promote the healthy growth of individuals and communities

    In this graduate program, based on the tradition of Tenri University, which has produced many athletes and coaches, we train leaders who can convey the appeal and significance of sports, physical education, and health. Along with pursuing scientific analysis and theory, we cultivate the qualities of a coach through practical experience. One example of this is the overseas internship, which allows students to learn about sports conditions abroad. Additionally, leveraging our track record as the first private university in the Kansai region to train health and physical education teachers, we foster advanced specialized knowledge.

      As sports continue to globalize and diversify, today's society faces a range of physical and mental health challenges. Building on Tenri University's long tradition of producing outstanding athletes and coaches, we offer programs in budo and sport culture, health and physical education, and health and sport sciences. Through these fields, we cultivate future leaders who can communicate the value and appeal of sports, physical education, and health in the society of tomorrow.

      In addition to scientific analysis and theoretical inquiry, students develop their skills as instructors through extensive hands-on practice.

      One such opportunity is our overseas internship program, where students share the joy of sports across borders and gain insight into sports cultures around the world. Furthermore, drawing on our history as the first private university in the Kansai region to train health and physical education teachers, we provide students with advanced professional knowledge to pursue careers in education.

      スポーツバイオメカニクスの基礎となる力学・解剖学・生理学などの知識だけでなく、日常やスポーツ場面でみられる幅広い動きについて、動作学・動力学的な視点からその特徴について学んでいきます。

    Note: Completion of the designated credits is required, and possession of a First-Class Teacher’s Certificate is a prerequisite. Students who do not yet hold a First-Class Certificate may obtain it after admission to the graduate school by taking the required undergraduate courses through the credit-earning system (registration fees required).

      修士論文では、自分がどのように関わるかに応じ、現場の課題を発見、解決策まで立案します。知識や研究力を総動員する「課題解決」の力を確立します。

      体育学研究科体育学専攻の教育目標を達成するため、次のような人を求めています。
      ①3つの領域（A.武道・スポーツ⽂化、B.保健・スポーツ教育、C.健康・スポーツ科学）に関して高度な学修を積み、体育・スポーツの指導者として活動したい人（知識・理解）
      ②中学校・高等学校教諭専修免許状（保健体育）の取得を目指す人（知識・技術）
      ③スポーツの科学的な研究成果を学修するとともに、自らの競技力向上を目指す人（知識・技術・態度）
      ④社会におけるスポーツの役割（健康の増進や生きがいの発見など）について学修を深め、ライフステージに応じたスポーツ活動の振興に努めたい人（知識・意欲）
      ⑤スポーツや武道などの身体文化の意味について学修を深め、現代および将来の身体文化のあり方について考究したい人（知識・創造）
      ⑥人間の身体やスポーツにおける運動についての科学的知識や研究方法を学修し、自らの研究能力を高めスポーツの発展に寄与したい人（知識・創造）

      試験は、大学院入学者選抜によるものとします。

      3つの領域（A.武道・スポーツ⽂化、B.保健・スポーツ教育、C.健康・スポーツ科学）の基礎を学び、それぞれの領域における豊富な専門科目を組み合わせ、理論学習と実践で人間力やマネジメント能力を磨くことのできる科目を体系的に配置しています。
      体育・スポーツの全般についての広い見識を得るための共通科目、学生自身が希望する研究領域およびその周辺領域について学修するための専門科目を配置しています。また、修士論文の作成に向けて演習科目・特別研究科目を設け、計画的・継続的に論文執筆を支援するカリキュラムを編成しています。
      中学校・高等学校における専修免許状（保健体育）が取得でき、また、国内外において体育・スポーツについての社会経験を積むこともできます。

      次のような知識や能力を備えた学生に修士（体育学）の学位を授与します。
      ①体育・スポーツに関わる高度な専門的知識を学修し、実践に応用できる能力・技術を身につける（知識・能力・技術）
      ②ライフステージに応じて、スポーツなどの身体活動に求められる課題を解決できる能力を身につける（能力）
